Scientific Center of Azerbaijan and Caucasian Studies named after Nizami Ganjavi opens in Oxford university.
A memo of intentions envisaging the creation of the Scientific Center of Azerbaijan and Caucasian Studies named after Nizami Ganjavi at the Oxford University has been signed.
According to AzerTag, on 28 October rector of the Baku affiliate of the Moscow State University named after M.V.Lomonosov, co-chairman of the British-Azerbaijani society, professor Nargiz Pashayeva has arrived in Oxford at the invitation of one of the world’s oldest and influential universities – the Oxford University.
During the visit, Pashayeva spoke at the faculty of Oriental Studies of the university with a scientific report on the issue of art and cultural heritage of the great Azerbaijani poet and philosopher Nizami Ganjavi.
Pashayeva’s speech arose a great interest and caused broad discussions. Then Pashayeva answered scientists’ questions.
As part of the visit the sides signed a memo of intentions on creation of the Scientific Center of Azerbaijan and Caucasian Studies named after Nizami Ganjavi at the Oxford university.
The document was signed by professor N.Pashayeva and director for international development of the Oxford University Lassalle Elder.
